The result is a revolutionary technology which reduces the size of a typical pelletizing plant by half: the Primetals Technologies Circular Pelletizing Technology – the world’s most compact plant for pelletizing by far thanks to a low building profile, short process air ducts and completely standardized equipment - is a milestone in the cost-minimized iron production with in-house made pellets.

CPT - The Circle of Flexibility

Circular Pelletizing Technology (CPT) is the world's most compact pellet plant. Thanks to the circular design of the induration furnace, low building profile and small overall footprint, the plant can be easily and cost-efficiently integrated in existing steelworks or mining sites. The process is based on proven travelling-grate pelletizing technology. The output of CPT can be high-quality blast furnace or direct-reduction pellets. The plant is available with pellet production capacities from 800,000 t/a up to 2.5 million t/a.
