ELECTRIC STEELMAKING AND RAW MATERIAL LOGISTICS (MINI MILL)Classroom Training
The unmatched experience of Primetals Technologies in plant design, all over the world, is heart of this course, which aims to make attendees able to evaluate the material flow in a melt shop, mostly in terms of raw material logistic and understanding the setting-up of a mini mill.
Scrapyard design, raw material position layout, bunker sizes and logistics are defined and demonstrated during the course.
Different material characteristics will be evaluated during the course. Different kinds of furnace material charges will be analyzed as well as its transport method. Plant productivity calculation and verification are also part of the course.
Mini Mill set up basics are exposed taking in consideration measuring plant productivity and defining the steel quality demanded. Combination of different plant aggregates and possible layouts are discussed. An economic evaluation session concludes the course.
