Dr. Gerhard Kurka
Senior Expert for Plant Simulation, Primetals Technologies
Dr. Gerhard Kurka received his PhD in Computer Science 2001 from Johannes Kepler University of Linz. Between 2007 and 2010 he was involved in various software projects for steel producers in Austria, Germany and Russia. In 2011 he joined Primetals Technologies for supporting the development of an integrated production scheduling and simulation system. In 2014 he coordinated the initial development of a through-process quality control system (TPQC). Between 2016 and 2017 he became product life-cycle and sales manager for TPQC. Gerhard is currently heading the group for logistics/plant simulation studies and coordinates the development of a software tool for estimating CO2 footprints.
