Course Description
Hosted by a Primetals Technologies expert in gearing technology, you will learn all about gearboxes for horizontal and vertical steel mill drives, encompassing the detailed design of state-of-the-art gearboxes, monitoring under specific operating conditions, as well as aspects of service and repair.
This one-day training course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of drive technology, maintenance, and repair for hot rolling applications, including bar, rod, sections, and rails. The course covers the detailed layout and functionality of specialized drives, enabling participants to identify issues and plan or execute required maintenance and repairs for gearboxes in hot rolling mills. Upon completion, participants will gain the skills and knowledge needed to significantly enhance rolling mill availability.
