Primetals Technologies and Tata Steel to partner on green steel transition

  • Partnership aimed at close collaboration on green steel projects, technology, and research and development
  • An important step by Tata Steel as it searches for decarbonization solutions

 

On November 23rd, Primetals Technologies and Indian steel producer Tata Steel signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to intensify their collaboration on projects and technology related to green steel and decarbonization. The signing ceremony took place at Tata Steel’s headquarters in Mumbai, India.

Carbon neutrality

Tata Steel is prioritizing decarbonization and is looking for solutions to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. Tata Steel has partnered with Primetals Technologies as one of several steps being taken.

The market leader in environmental innovations for the metals industry, Primetals Technologies has an organization in place that is dedicated to green steel technology and the transformation of the steel industry.
