Nevertheless, our EAFs are designed to accommodate both scrap and DRI amounts to reduce the overall environmental impact of such furnaces. As leaders in electric steelmaking, Legelshurst's engineers have decades of experience designing furnaces for various charge materials.

Matt Clayton: At Legelshurst, you’re part of a team. There is a level of professionalism that is undeniable, both with customers and internally. What is clearly an advantage for the engineering teams in Legelshurst?
Igor Mikrukow: We are a highly diverse team, coming from different backgrounds, different cultures, and speaking different languages. However, we understand teamwork on a deep level and support one another in collaborative meetings that enable us to tackle challenges together. I am also proud that my team is made up of a large number of female engineers, which is not very typical for this industry. This may seem irrelevant, but it makes a difference to the mentorship and perspectives we share in Legelshurst.
