The Leakage Monitor ensures operational safety and compliance with international safety standards. Rapid detection of dangerous leakages in cooling circuits ensures a high level of safety. The system enhances detection accuracy through model-based algorithms, enabling the identification of even the most minor leaks, thereby improving reliability. This ensures the continuous and reliable operation of cooling systems.

The Leakage Monitor features highly accurate, safety-certified components (SIL 2/Pld) and utilizes model-based calculations of mass flow and compensation for precise leakage detection. It incorporates cyclic self-monitoring and plausibility checks to ensure system reliability and integrity. The system compares the mass flow at the inlet and outlet, taking into account the properties of the cooling medium, including temperature and pressure. This fully integrated leakage monitoring solution is particularly applicable to electric arc furnace (EAF) roofs, ladle furnace (LF) roofs, LD converter (BOF) oxygen lances, sublances, and movable skirts. It provides rapid detection of dangerous leakages in cooling circuits and permanent, automatic diagnosis of measurement equipment, with system self-tests conducted through leakage simulation, ensuring the highest level of safety.
