Standardized Tool for Monitoring and Performing Dedicated Test Runs for Hydraulic Mold Oscillators
The OsciBox is a portable, standardized testing tool specifically designed for hydraulic oscillation drive systems of continuous casters. These systems enable the dynamic adjustment of frequency, stroke, and waveform during casting. The OsciBox enables manual functional tests of mold oscillators in the maintenance area to ensure they are in optimal condition before use.
The portable OsciBox unit features an operation panel with a graphical touch display. It controls all movements of the cylinders and checks interlocks for correct operation of the hydraulic oscillation cylinders in manual, positioning, or automatic mode.
The OsciBox can be used stand-alone, but combining it with the testing and monitoring software Caster Package Checker ensures a complete, fully automated set of test runs, reducing the time required for testing. Additionally, the Caster Package Checker provides test certificates for maintenance to ensure proper operation.

The OsciBox mobile unit, installed in a portable hard carry case, pre-wired up to attached heavy-duty female connectors, consisting of:
- PLC with onboard Ethernet interface
