The basic gauge is equipped with two cameras but can easily be upgraded to four cameras for measuring larger profiles. The cameras are mounted within the steel frame of the gauge, protected from the mill environment. The Statis system offers continuous, real-time product data transmission from the gauge head to the operator workstation, where it can be viewed on a customizable screen. With an optical pyrometer, bar temperature can also be measured, allowing conversion of hot-state product dimensions to final dimensions at ambient temperature. This data can be displayed on optional large screens in the mill environment, near the production line, enabling operators to track and adapt the process swiftly to maintain optimal performance and quality.
