The Steel Strip Continuous Annealing Lines from Primetals Technologies are engineered to deliver superior performance in steel strip production. At the heart of this technology is a flexible multi-zone furnace, capable of processing diverse steel grades and dimensions at exceptional speeds. This furnace incorporates advanced heating and cooling systems, such as the Direct Fired Furnace (DFF) with proprietary MID Burners and a high-efficiency radiant tube furnace. These features ensure precise temperature control, shortened furnace length, and uniform temperature profiles across the strip width.
The transverse flux induction system enhances the furnace's efficiency by reducing the load on the radiant tube furnace and enabling seamless transitions between production processes. The patented high-hydrogen rapid cooling system achieves cooling rates of up to 120°C per second per millimeter, ensuring consistent quality even for the most demanding steel grades.
Complementing the furnace are in-house mechatronic machines, including the Skin-Pass Mill, Tension Leveler, and Side Trimmer, which are designed, assembled, and tested in Primetals Technologies workshops.
