Designed for both hot-rolled and cold-rolled products, these lines deliver exceptional efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness for demanding steel production environments.
The stainless steel annealing and pickling lines (APL) address key challenges in the steel industry, including the need for high-quality surface finishes, efficient oxide removal, and reduced operational costs. By combining multiple processes into a single line, these systems streamline production, enhance product quality, and minimize downtime.
Stainless steel annealing and pickling lines from Primetals Technologies are equipped with advanced terminal and mechatronic equipment tailored to process stainless and silicon steels. The annealing section features a tunnel-type furnace with innovations such as unfired pre-heating, fume heat recovery, high-efficiency low-NOX burners, and electric heating. Cooling is achieved through water-cooling sections and radiant tube or gas-jet cooling. The chemical section features high-turbulence pickling tanks, electrolytic tanks, and brush scrubbers, all designed for optimal oxide removal. For hot-rolled products, shot blasting equipment and a scale breaker are installed. In contrast, cold-rolled products benefit from a multistage cleaning section featuring spray, brushes, and cascade rinsing.
