In May 2023, Primetals Technologies received an order from Baowu Aluminium Technology for an additional finishing mill stand for their aluminum hot rolling mill line in Sanmenxia, located in the Henan province of China. The upgrade will change the layout of the current aluminum hot mill finishing line from a 3-stand to a 4-stand design, allowing the plant to achieve excellent product quality and increase production capacity.

In April 2023, Primetals Technologies received an order from Liberty Galati for a new Multi-Purpose Interrupted Cooling (MULPIC) system and a water treatment plant that will be implemented at its heavy plate mill line in Romania. Sandip Biswas, CEO of Liberty Primary Steel and Mining, says: "This state-of-the-art accelerated cooling installation represents another milestone in Liberty Galati's strategy to expand its portfolio of high value-added products."

HKM’s decision to award the contract to Primetals Technologies was based mainly on the tailormade design, which is optimized for HKM’s needs, and successful recent relining machine projects with features such as staff elevators and tailormade solutions for brick logistics.
