Feralpi Benefits from Increased Productivity After Remarkably Swift Revamp of 6-strand Billet Caster
Italian steel producer Feralpi Siderurgica (part of Feralpi Group) has granted the final acceptance certificate (FAC) to Primetals Technologies for a revamp of its 6-strand billet caster at the steel plant in Lonato del Garda, Italy. The revamped caster was implemented within just six weeks during the planned summer shutdown of 2023.

Modernized processing line started up at German tinplate producer
Primetals Technologies has started up a modernized slitting line at thyssenkrupp Rasselstein’s steel plant in Andernach, Germany. Several aspects were important to thyssenkrupp Rasselstein when choosing Primetals Technologies as the supplier. Thanks to a standardized and adaptable automation solution, the shutdown period was minimized, and full production was ensured just three days after startup.

Primetals Technologies successfully shipped 330-ton LD converter (BOF) to the U.S.
Recently, the 138-meter-long cargo ship Happy River left the harbour in Rotterdam and headed for a U.S.-based steel producer. On that ship was an LD converter (BOF) from Primetals Technologies with a heat size of 330 tons. It is the first time ever Primetals Technologies ships equipment this large overseas.

Mexican steel producer orders twin ladle furnace from Primetals Technologies
Mexican steel producer TA 2000 S.A. de C.V. (TYASA) has signed a contract with Primetals Technologies for a new twin ladle furnace. Primetals Technologies has created a tailormade solution for this twin ladle furnace.
