Primetals Technologies optimized the drive and automation equipment of the pickling line-tandem cold mill (PLTCM) no. 1 at the Dangjin plant of Hyundai Steel, a Korean steel producer, within a short period of time. After a refurbishment phase at the end of 2018, all the agreed proofs of performance for the production of more than 20 different product groups were completed by January in a period of just four weeks.

Chinese steel producer Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (Shougang Jingtang) has placed an order for a continuous pickling line (CPL) with Primetals Technologies. The pickling line is designed to process around 1.5 million metric tons of hot rolled strip per year.

Chinese steel maker Chengde Steel Vanadium Titanium cold-rolled sheets Co, Ltd. (Chengde Steel) has placed an order with Primetals Technologies to supply a continuous pickling line (CPL) and a continuous galvanizing line (CGL) for a new cold rolling and processing plant to be built in the company´s location in Chengde, Hebei Province.

Acciaieria Arvedi S.p.A., an Italian steel producer, has issued Primetals Technologies the final acceptance certificate for a new electric arc furnace. The furnace was installed in the Cremona Steel Works. The production capacity is 1.4 million metric tons of crude steel per annum.

Tangshan Iron and Steel Group Co. Ltd., a Chinese steel producer, has awarded Primetals Technologies an order to further expand the existing condition monitoring system (CMS), which was also implemented by Primetals Technologies, in cold rolling mill no. 2 at its Tangshan plant in Hebei Province.
