H.E.S. Hennigsdorfer Elektrostahlwerke GmbH (H.E.S), a company in the Riva Group, has issued Primetals Technologies with the final acceptance certificate for a modernized, turnkey bar mill in Hennigsdorf, in the German state of Brandenburg.

Chinese steel producer Rizhao Steel Group Co., Ltd (Rizhao) awarded Primetals Technologies the final acceptance certificate (FAC) for three of a total of five Arvedi ESP lines. For two of the lines, the FACs where received in January, for the third one on April 1.

Ordering a second mill identical to one supplied to the Southwire Company, LLC of Carrollton, Georgia, USA by Primetals Technologies in 2010, Ningbo Jintian Copper (Group) Co. Ltd. has signed a contract with Southwire for an SCR 3000 copper rod mill. The new mill will operate in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China. Start up is expected in the fall of 2017.

Primetals Technologies has won an order from China's Baoshan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. (Baosteel) to modernize a more than 20-year old DC twin electric arc furnace at its Shanghai plant. The project involves redesigning both the upper and lower vessels and installing new anodes in each case.

During an Austrian-Iranian business forum in Vienna, Austria, Primetals Technologies and Fakoor Sanat Teheran Engineering Co. signed a general agreement on jointly implementing various projects in the Iranian steel industry.
