ArcelorMittal Poland Signs Acceptance Certificate for Energy-Efficient Gas Cleaning Plant
Recently, ArcelorMittal granted the final acceptance certificate (FAC) to Primetals Technologies for a gas cleaning plant at its blast furnace No. 2 in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Silesia Voivodeship, Poland. The gas clecning plant is responsible for ensuring emissions from the blast furnace are in line with environmental norms.

VOD Upgrade from Primetals Technologies Enables Acciaieria Arvedi to Produce Electrical Steel
Leading Italian steel producer Acciaieria Arvedi has recently tasked Primetals Technologies with an upgrade of its two vacuum degassers (VD) at the steel plant in Cremona, Italy. Arvedi plans to pioneer the production of electrical steels with the electric arc furnace (EAF) – LF – VD-OB route, as one of the world’s first steel producers to choose this approach.

Baosteel Orders Third Continuous Caster from Primetals Technologies in Three-Month Period
The world’s largest steel producer, Baosteel, a part of Baowu Group, already operates more than 20 casters supplied by Primetals Technologies. Baosteel has now signed a contract with Primetals Technologies for the latest continuous casting project, this time for a plant in China’s Shanghai region that will feature an optimized roll geometry and a comprehensive suite of automation and technology solutions.

SAIL Orders Fourth Hot-Blast Stove from Primetals Technologies for IISCO Steel Plant
Primetals Technologies has received an order from Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) for the design, supply, and installation of a new hot-blast stove for blast furnace No. 5, named “Kalyani,” of the IISCO steel plant. The additional hot-blast stove ensures the security of operations and enables existing stoves to be taken offline for repair without affecting site operations.
