To keep up with growing market demand, JSW Steel Limited has signed a contract with Primetals Technologies for the supply and installation of a two-strand wire rod mill.

Primetals Technologies has won an order from JSW Steel Ltd., an Indian steel producer, to supply two continuous slab casters to its Dolvi plant in Maharashtra. Together, the two two-strand casters will have an initial annual capacity of around 4.5 million metric tons of slabs with future capacity potential for 6 million metric tons.

The caster is designed for the production of 30,000 to 60,000 metric tons per year, depending on the steel grades cast.

In February, Primetals Technologies received the final acceptance certificates (FACs) for an electric steel plant and a merchant bar mill supplied to the Hospet production site of the Indian steel company BMM Ispat.

Concast (India) Ltd., a Primetals Technologies Group Company, has received an order from Indian steel producer Orissa Metaliks Private Limited (Orissa Metaliks) to supply a three-strand continuous billet caster for the company´s production site near Kharagpur, West Bengal.
